After graduating with a four-year Diploma in Commercial Illustration from the Queensland College of Art, Michele worked as an illustrator in the Zoology Department at the University of Queensland.

In 1986 Michele established a school of Watercolour with up to 35 students enrolled at any time. She also tutored regularly for the Watercolour Society of Queensland.

Michele has tutored throughout South-East Queensland and North-Eastern New South Wales. Some of these organizations include: McGregor Winter School, McGregor Spring School, Camp Creative Summer School, Stanthorpe Art Group, Beenleigh Art Society, Sunshine Coast Art Group, Tenterfield Art Group, Art Smart, Redcliffe Art Group.

She has held six solo exhibitions and has won many prizes for her work.

First -RNA and Forest Lake Rotary, Zonta Club of Blackall Range.

Second - RNA.and 2 at Forest Lake Rotary, Mitchell Art Show.

Overall Exhibition Prize– Kooralbyn International School and Zonta Club of Blackall Range.
